MakeupArtistLorena was founded by Lorena Valencia, a licensed cosmetologist, makeup artist, and educator who has been working in the beauty industry since 2009. After her oldest son Gianni underwent major head surgery as an infant, Lorena made the difficult decision to leave her full-time job to care for him during recovery. During that time, she began offering weekend makeup services and filming YouTube makeup tutorials, laying the foundation for what would later become MakeupArtistLorena. Following her divorce, she committed fully to the beauty industry and completed beauty school, going on to work behind the chair as a hair-color specialist for over 12 years while continuing to grow as a makeup artist and content creator.

Now, as a mother of a young infant, Armani, Lorena has shifted her focus toward sharing her knowledge and experience online, investing her time into creating practical education and real-world beauty solutions for anyone who wants to perfect their look. MakeupArtistLorena reflects her belief that beauty should be approachable, empowering, and built on techniques that truly work in everyday life.
